How You'll Work with Me
Ultimately, when you first reach out to work with me, we -- tutor, learner, and parent(s)/guardian(s) -- will spend time during the first meeting setting expectations, figuring out schedules for moving forward, and doing some initial diagnostic assessment in whatever area(s) on which we might work together.
I can provide tutoring in-person at your home (Boston MetroWest only), in-person at mutually convenient public meeting spaces (local libraries, etc.), and using Google Meet to facilitate remote tutoring. Schedules may include synchronous work 1:1 as well as additional required asynchronous, student-initiated "homework" between sessions, for the best possible retention of the strategies we use to succeed.
Details About Payments
All amounts due for services rendered are payable in cash or via Venmo on the date of service.
A Note on Scheduling + Costs
Life happens -- there might be emergencies or unforeseen events that require a change of established plans after we have agreed upon a schedule. For your benefit and mine, we are both expected to provide as much advance notice as possible if we need to cancel or reschedule a tutoring appointment.
You or I will email for appointment cancellations or re-scheduling requests with at least 48-hour advance notice. You or I will call/text if one of us needs to cancel on shorter notice or advise of a delay.
Essentially, everyone's time is valuable. Respect for this value is essential. Any cancellations made outside these guidelines are payable at the rate assessed for services.
